St Mary's Dukinfield

Nobles were appointed to this £2.5 million scheme to build a new primary school on the site of St Mary's in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester. Boasting an array of environmental features and an attractive, modern design, the new building is now complete and the school have successfully moved in.

The scheme was carried out in three phases, to account for the site restrictions and the continuing operations of the school. The first phase entailed the creation of an access road and formation of a temporary school playing area, while the second and third phases comprised the construction of the new school and the demolition of the existing school respectively.

The new build is a steel framed structure, with three monopitch roofs, a mixture of timber cladding, render and facebrick, standing seam roof and internal finishes.
