John Blair, Commercial Manager

John has been with Nobles since early 2007 and has over 35 years experience in the industry, 25 years of which were spent at Wimpey and six years as Commercial Manager for Bluestone plc where he had responsibility for the Special Works division.

He has worked as Project quantity Surveyor on individual schemes up to £50m in value and possesses vast experience in the education, health and civil engineering sectors.

John heads up our team of qualified Quantity Surveyors and is responsible for the effective financial and commercial management of all our construction activities. With his team he constantly monitors the budget and works in collaboration with the Clients team to rationalise any potential changes and provide cost advice. He works closely with our supply chain in terms of offering innovative solutions that add value and reduce cost. He is driven to ensure that all our projects achieve the Clients aspirations in terms of adherence to budget.

His broad commercial knowledge is invaluable at tender stage allowing us utilise up to date costing information in our pre and post contract services thereby giving our Clients total peace of mind in respect to their own financial planning.
