Significant demolition took place prior to the main build. We commenced with substantial breaking out of existing concrete slabs and removal of existing rail tracks.
The existing shed was in disarray and required deconstruction. The shed itself is of steel composition with a Kingspan composite roof system and cladding throughout.
Works included the formation of new inspection pits, jacking pads and wheel lathes. As well as new office and messing facilities, a forty space car pack has been formed along with power floated RC slabs and external drainage. This includes an attenuation tank, external concrete hard standing areas, gabions and siphonic drainage.
Mechanical & electrical installations, along with cladding and external lighting, complete the build.
