£850,000 JCT Intermediate Contract with Contractor Design to refurbish the college.

The works involved the renewal of the existing facade, including removal of existing brickwork, to replace windows and install curtain walling.  Doing so required asbestos removal and significant temporary works design.

The college remained open during the project duration.  We therefore had to closely manage the interface between the public and site works.

Works also included full refurbishment to the second floor of the adjacent TL building.  This had restricted access for movement of operatives and materials.  It required trades to work diligently in sequence and coordinate resources.

This ensured that the project was delivered on time despite the restrictions and a requirement to work evenings and weekends.  We also achieved a “Very Good” BREEAM rating for the building.
