This is a £1.4 million JCT ICD Contract scheme to construction a new timber frame single storey Catholic Primary School.

This is a timber framed new build.  It consists of seven classrooms, a specialist practical room, a small group room and two toilet blocks.

Each classroom and the small group room have state of the art interactive boards fitted.

The five classrooms on the rear elevation also have sloping ash panelled ceilings.  We advised on using an ash ceiling rather than bamboo and save the client £22,500.

The high level Clearstorey windows provide additional natural light.  Fitting these required the employment of specialist trade who can fit “Hybrid” window systems.

We erected an acoustic fence which segregated local residents from the newly formed parking bays.  We also achieved a “Very Good” BREEAM rating for the building.

The site has poor access within a residential area and the project operated on an extremely tight programme.  Despite this, and that two subcontractors went into liquidation mid-project, we completed on time and within budget.
