The development is built on a former gas works site in Frome. Primary construction methods are timber frame with traditional brickwork and reproduction timber cladding.
Exterior roads and car parks have surface water attenuation. This controls the discharge of rain water into the adjacent river and in turn assists in the prevention of any future flooding.
It was incumbent on us to ensure high levels of acoustic resistivity. This is due to the proximity of the directly adjacent live railway line. It applies to the building structure, as well as the mechanical and ventilation elements of the buildings.
